Selamat Hari Kartini
This morning, as I stumbled upon an old photo of my worn-out shoes hanging in the garden, memories of my journey flooded back. Those shoes, remnants of my days in Dublin, symbolized a pivotal moment when I whispered my desire to forge my own path as an entrepreneur to the universe.
Nine years have flown by since then, and I am eternally grateful for the courage to embark on this uncertain journey. As I sipped my morning tea, the realization dawned upon me that tomorrow marks Kartini's Day, a celebration of empowerment and equality.
In my mind's eye, I envisioned Kartini herself sitting beside me, sharing a cup of tea. I pondered what she would say as she looked upon the garden, witnessing the freedom of girls to roam and dream, and the empowerment of women working at Made Tea, balancing work and motherhood with grace.
I reflected on how Kartini's message of equality resonates even today, and how her legacy continues to inspire us to strive for progress. While there is still much work to be done, Kartini has paved the way for us to walk together towards a future of empowerment and equality.
As I celebrate Kartini Day, I am reminded of the collective responsibility we all share in making Kartini's dream a reality, even in the smallest of circles. Let us continue to support and empower one another as we work towards building a better tomorrow.
Happy Kartini Day.
